Fundraising goes up a notch!

This weekend’s fundraising efforts were amazing! The BIG NIGHT OUT dance, raffle and auction organized by Claire Henshaw and her fantastic volunteers raised just under £4,500. Claire told us: “the night was a resounding success, great fun and just shows what a wonderful community spirit there is in Stokey!” Pictured here are the DJs: Andy Spence, Joby Waldman, Lindsay Evans, Lee Henshaw and Jonny Trunk.

Meanwhile, the Hackney Half Marathon went very well – on a lovely sunny day! Ms Gammon and Mr Hershkowitz ran for Safaplace, and a number of other SNS colleagues raised money for St Josephs’ Hospice. Help the Safaplace runners top their £2000 target, donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/snssafaspace.
And finally – though not a fundraising initiative – kicking off the excitement at the weekend was the reflective garden project. In five hot hours fifteen green-fingered people (and a dog named Andrew) achieved a true transformation, with plants going in for the first time; see the pictures below.
Well done and a big, big thank you to everyone for this weekend’s brilliant efforts!
