Don’t miss: Gilles Peterson & Look Up pop up’s amazing week of events

Look up, a pop-up record and bookshop curated by DJ Gilles Peterson, will launch a week-long event on 24th September in Stoke Newington. A pop-up shop, interviews, talks and performances will run out of Stoke Newington’s Edward’s Lane gallery (behind the library), with music evenings at the Old Church.
Look Up is exploring the positive connection between mental health and the arts while raising money for Safaplace – an exciting event which will involve school pupils as well as local volunteers and contributors.
The week will feature:

  • Gilles’ interviews with a wide range of artists including: Yazmin Lacey, Colleen Murphy, James Lavelle, Jordan Rakel, Dave Haslam and Will Ashton, and Goldie.
  • Miquita Oliver will interview artists The Connor Brothers
  • Performances at the Old Church by Yazmin Lacey, Jordan Rakel, and Aaron Unknown.
  • Gilles’ hand-picked selections of albums, books and artwork will be on sale at the gallery
