Exam stress?

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year its focus is stress. The Mental Health Foundation says that two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetimes, and stress is a key factor in this.
Exam stress is a big issue for young people, including teenager Leah Barfield, who spoke out in the press this week. We have been noticing what tips and helplines are available. Please share other titbits that you, or your friends and families have found useful, by commenting here.
Feeling overwhelmed is something a lot of us are familiar with. But as we heard at our Conference, it’s important to let off steam when the stress bucket gets full up.

Here are some links – tell us if you have others. Student Minds’ exam stress resources could be useful, and Childline’s look good (we like writing down the worries on a piece of paper and it throwing away). Most of all though, please remember that whatever is happening for you or a family member right now, exam results don’t define anyone. Keep it in perspective. And if gets all too much, talk to, or call someone.
