Our response to the government’s Modernising Support Green Paper

Safaplace is appalled by the government’s ‘Modernising Support’ green paper, which proposes taking away crucial financial support from people with mental health problems. They have clearly not considered the impact this will have on young people’s well-being in places like Hackney.
We support Dr Sarah Hughes, Chief Executive of Mind, who says:

‘If the government was serious about supporting people with mental health problems back to work, it would prioritise investment in our overstretched mental health service.’
